Being one of the most popular contemporary multimedia artists in the world, André Heller also created numerous artistic garden sculptures. His passion about Italy and Lake Garda led to the creation of the Botanical Garden of the André Heller Foundation, where many sculptures, bearing his signature, are still installed, along with those of other important artists.
The Heller botanic gardens preserve many species of plants from all over the world including multiple sculptures created by Roy Liechtenstein, Keith Haring, Rudolph Hirt, Erwin Novak, Edgar Tezak, Susanne Schmögner and André Heller himself. The groups of plants are connected by a series of paths and places to rest.
With its characteristic central landscapes representing the Dolomites, the water lily ponds and the lateral Zen areas, the Heller Botanical Garden on Lake Garda will not disappoint you. Equally expressive are the sculptures around the garden. Rich in symbols they refer to different cultures and religions: from Buddhism to Hinduism they merge with the modern and contemporary era representing interesting and unusual unique items.
The Heller botanical garden is located in the centre of Gardone Riviera. It is open from March to October, every day from 9 am to 7 pm. Reduced tickets are available for large groups and children aged 6 to 11, while admission for children under 5 years is free.
