this historic mansion is now an exclusive hotel and maintains all style and charm of that time.
the villa was made at the start or the 1900’s, located in the heart of an elegant residential area. at one time frequented by many of the bourgeoisie and german industrial magnates.

owned by a family called hohl of swiss origin.
the hohl family were already owners of a hotel in the area of canton graubunden. they then decided to move to gardone at a time of significant growth in the tourism market.
this was the birth of the “pension hohl” which operated until 1951
and was managed by sisters bertha and emma hohl.
following the sisters bertha and emma hohl was another family called “ alton roncoroni” who managed the hotel until 2001.

in 2001 the house was closed to allow construction and careful restoration. this work helped in making the villa sofia the exclusive destination , full of charm, elegance and splendor that it is today.
