Villa Sofia

The elegance and sofistication of Villa Sofia have an atmosphere of another era.
This historic mansion is now an exclusive hotel and maintains all style and charm of that time. 
The Villa was built at the beginning of the 1900’s and is located in the heart of an elegant residential area, one time frequented by the Bourgeoisie and German industrial magnates.

Villa Sofia was owned by family Hohl of Swiss origin. They were already owners of a hotel in the area of Kanton Graubünden and they then decided to move to Gardone at a time of significant growth in the tourism market. 
This was the birth of the “Pension Hohl” which operated until 1951 and was managed by the sisters Bertha and Emma Hohl.
Family Alton Ronconi followed the sisters Bertha and Emma Hohl and managed the hotel until 2001.

In 2001 the villa was closed to allow reconstruction and careful restoration in order to transform Villa Sofia in an exclusive destination, full of charme, elegance and splendor.
